The Friends of Fortune Green (FoFG), was set up in 2007, by a group of concerned residents, in conjunction with Camden Parks and Open Spaces, to improve their local open space, Fortune Green, which had become quite neglected, and promote its use and enjoyment for the whole community. Through their commitment of time and resources Fortune Green is now a popular venue for a number of local Summer events including the Jester Festival and Fortune Green Outdoor Cinema as well as various exercise, nature and arts activities scheduled throughout the year.
The LOGS programme brings together FoFG members, local residents and neighbours on one Sunday a month over nine months of the year, to work with a trained horticulturalist.
Each session focuses on a different aspect of maintaining and improving the beauty and access to Fortune Green – from planned planting and weeding, to regular pruning, tidying and litter picking.
FoFG are always delighted to hear from other interested residents who would like to get involved. For more information, contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
